Inpatients Support Services
FACE Foundation, Inc. based out of Atlanta GA, supports the AFLAC Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, (Egleston, Scottish Rite, and Hughes Spalding campuses), and the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center at Grady Health System.
Patients & Caregivers
- Providing baskets that consist of hygiene items, stress relievers, etc. that help caregivers through lengthy hospital stays.
- Items (toys, books, games etc.) received as in-kind donations will be used to cheer patients and for the "treasure boxes" in the AFLAC inpatient and outpatient units.
- Inpatient fellowship - providing meals and connecting with families and providing literature that may be of interest to families suffering from Sickle Cell Disease.
- Medical providers & staff "Appreciation Luncheons"
Hosting and/or sponsoring inpatient "Group Share Time" specifically for the families dealing with Sickle Cell Disease.
